ERASMUS

Erasmus is the European Commission's leading educational exchange programme for higher education students, teachers and institutions. It was introduced with the aim of increasing student mobility within Europe and now operates across 33 countries and involves over 4,000 higher education institutions. Over two and a half million students have benefited from Erasmus since its introduction in 1987. Erasmus forms part of the EU Lifelong Learning Programme (2007-2013).

Since 2005 Lithuanian Maritime Academy is taking part in the Lifelong Learning Program / Erasmus project.

STUDY PROGRAMMES

LMA provides maritime education in the following study programmes:

The exchange students can choose 30-60 ECTS from the above mentioned degree programmes.

ACADEMIC CALENDAR

Fall semester from 1st of September to 31st of January;

Spring semester from 1st of February to 30th of June.

Please confirm your arrival and departure dates with LMA Erasmus Coordinator.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

When applying for an exchange studies the following documents are required:

Student Application Form
Learning Agreement (possible to use your Home Institution form)
Housing Application
Transcript of Records from your Home Institution

The application documents should be sent to the International Relations and Projects Office by 30th of June for the fall semester / whole academic year and by 1st of December for the spring semester.
