Diploma Awarding Ceremony

On Friday afternoon 9th of December 2022 the diplomas were awarded to 4th year students who came from the Kherson State Maritime Academy (KSMA) of Ukraine at the Lithuanian Maritime Academy (LMA). Students successfully defended their final theses and passed the qualifying exams. This diploma awarding ceremony was special because - the diplomas were awarded to the graduates of the KSMA of Ukraine, 44 graduates from seagoing study programs, who due to the current situation, have completed their studies at the LMA. Graduates were awarded by professional bachelor's diplomas during a cheerful and solemn celebration!

Director of the LMA Vaclav Stankevič, Mayor of Klaipėda City municipality Vytautas Grubliauskas, Rector of the KSMA Vasyl (Vasyljevič) Cherniavskyi, Chairman of the Marine Transport Workers’ Trade Union of Ukraine (MTWTU, Ukraine) Oleg Grygoriuk, Martin Bankov, Crew Training Manager, Marlow Navigation Co. Ltd. (Cyprus) and others gave welcoming speeches, and their words emphasized the great contribution of the LMA, thanks for the well-prepared graduates and best wishes to the graduates.
